On Tuesday Mayor Richard Daley unveiled his new Economic Development Commission, naming 22 Chicago business executives to replace all but one of the members of the current commission.
John Frazee, chief executive officer of the Centel Corp., was named to head the commission, the business group that advises the city government on long-range plans for economic development.
”I want it more active. I want them to market Chicago,” said Daley, indicating that the board will be more of a booster group than a planning agency.
