An Elgin man accused of forcing his way into a former girlfriend`s apartment was arrested early Thursday, according to Elgin police.
John E. Dugger, 25, of 681 S. Liberty St., was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and one count each of assault and criminal trespassing. He faces a March 20 hearing in Kane County Circuit Court.
Police said Dugger allegedly forced his way into his former girlfriend`s apartment in the 200 block of Kathleen Drive. Once inside, he allegedly threatened the 24-year-old woman and refused to leave the apartment.
The woman was not injured in the incident, police said.
