A 27-year-old Elgin man reported he was attacked by three men as he slept in his home early Sunday, Elgin police said.
The victim, who was treated at Sherman Hospital for a wound to the back of his head, said his attackers kicked in the door and started beating him as he lay in bed.
The man told police he was involved in a dispute with the same three men at an Elgin bar earlier that evening.
