Bella Sheer Skup, 76, founder in the early 1940s of the Busy Beavers Nursery in Chicago and the Merry Oaks Nursery School and Day Camp in Lake Forest, died Jan. 29 while visiting Cuba. Mrs. Skup, who had moved to Toronto, had spent much time in Cuba in the last three decades establising schools for the handicapped and the gifted and teacher training programs. She had attended Marshall High School, Crane Junior College and Roosevelt University. Survivors include: her husband, Paul; three sons, Eric, Daniel and David; six grandchildren; two sisters; and a brother. A memorial service will be held Sunday in Toronto.
