– Barrington 58, Elk Grove 53-Barrington needed 16 points from Dan Slania and 14 from Marc Wilson to pull to 8-17 on the season, while Elk Grove fell to the same record despite Fred Malinowski`s 18 points.
– Buffalo Grove 51, Prospect 48-Brian Verber (15 points) sank a three-pointer at the buzzer and Steve Jackson added 20 points and eight rebounds to lift Buffalo Grove (10-14) in the Mid-Suburban crossover. Keith Dunn had 24 points for Prospect (18-7).
– Palatine 69, Schaumburg 57-Marc Boone and Jeff Hecklinski had 15 apiece for Palatine (16-8) in the Mid-Suburban crossover. Greg Teele had 19 for Schaumburg (11-14).

– Illiana Christiana regional-University High (22-1) edged Evergreen Park 73-71 in overtime behind O`Darie Weathers (31 points). Jim Czerwinski had 26 and Tom Czerwinski 23 for Evergreen Park (6-18). St. Martin de Porres (10-16) smothered Chicago Christian 63-36 with Jerry Gee scoring 25 points.
– Lisle regional-Aurora Christian (19-5) edged Westmont 61-60 on Greg Phillips` rebound basket with :16 left and John Wayne`s 21 points. Mark Baetzel had 26 for Westmont (14-13), which missed three shots before the final buzzer. Host Lisle (17-9) smothered Wheaton Christian 71-38 with Chris Dockery scoring 14 points.
– Timothy Christian regional-Dave Bosman`s (13 points) putback off a missed free throw gave Timothy Christian (10-14) a 51-49 victory over Immaculate Conception. Jack Heerdt scored 18 points for the winners. Andy Damore had 24 for IC (5-19).
– Harvard regional-Lance Bossler scored 23 points as Marengo (18-7) rolled over Alden-Hebron 74-28.
– Burlington Central regional-Kaneland (11-13) hammered Malta 71-28 with Steve Wesolowski scoring 14 points.
