True or false: On average, a man`s beard has the same number of hairs as a woman`s legs and underarms combined. True, according to Gillette-just one of the press-kit factoids accompanying the launch of Gillette`s Sensor for Women razor. Men shave more often than women-24 times a month versus 11 times-and use more blades-30 a year, versus 10 for women. But a man, on average, is shaving an area of 48 square inches, whereas a woman has an average shaving area of 412 square inches. There are attitudinal differences, too. Ah, the unkindest cut of all.
