Being a ”complusive neatnik” as my workmates describe me, I read with interest Mike Royko`s column of April 7 in which he details the horrendous litter scene of Chicago Parks.
At the Daley Center recently, two Daley Center maintenance men in uniform walked in front of me. One finished a bag of chips and tossed the empty bag on the floor. I said, ”Excuse me, you dropped some litter.” His reply, ”Then pick it up!”
In a time when our environment and its resources are so precious, we must collectively clean up our city inside and out.
