Mt. Prospect village manager John Dixon is to announce his resignation Thursday, the deputy village clerk said Wednesday.
Val Monroe said a press release announcing Dixon`s resignation, effective July 5, would be issued Thursday.
Dixon, who has served as village manager for five years, declined comment Wednesday evening. Previously, he served as village manager of Hoffman Estates.
Neither Mayor Gerald Farley nor any of the six trustees responsible for hiring and firing the village manager could be reached for comment.
