Permit me to respond to the approximately 1,400 words of Irving B. Harris and Nancy F. Schulte in their Op-Ed piece of June 16 (”The crisis in Cook County”): Your verbiage, data and all, flies in the face of fundamental logic, to say nothing of a fundamental morality in the issue of using public monies to finance abortions at Cook County Hospital.
Here are my 10 words: Without life there can be no living, of whatever quality.
