Harley E. Cannon, 74, a former Wheeling Township tax collector, died Friday in Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights. Mr. Cannon is survived by his wife, Ruth; two daughters, Sharon Nerius and Susan Irvin; a son, Douglas; and eight grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday in Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd., Mt. Prospect, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 100 S. School St., Mt. Prospect. Services will follow visitation in the church.
