As part of an effort to make it easier for residents to walk to their local destinations, the village is spending $21,753 to construct 1,300 feet of sidewalk this summer.
Sidewalks will be built on the east side of Butterfield Drive from Army Trail Road to Stratford Junior High School, the east side of Bloomingdale Road through a grass area north of Village Hall, and the south side of Royal Lane from Country Club Drive to Springfield Park.
Construction will start in August and will last a month.
