Wow! I just read where a jury awarded $2.5 million to a woman who was denied an apartment because she has children. While I agree there should be no discrimination, I question the decision of the jury. Surely they could have awarded her an apartment rent-free for a year or two instead.
With all that money she can (but I doubt if she will) buy her own apartment house and rent to nothing but tenants with families. What`s next, $3 million awards to people who are denied apartments because they have pets?
