Dale R. Bauer, 64, a retired magazine publishing executive, died Wednesday in his summer home in Quogue, N.Y. Mr. Bauer was vice president of information services for Macmillan Inc. and chairman of its Standard Rate and Data Service from 1978 to 1988, when he retired. A Chicago native, he began his career in publishing here in 1955 with McGraw Hill Inc. Survivors include his wife, Peggy; a son, Greg; a daughter, Courtney; four step-children; and nine grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday in Atonement Episcopal Church in Quogue.
