The Montgomery Village Board has approved 3 percent cost-of-living pay raises for its general staff and heftier increases for five village officials. Among those receiving bigger raises were village administrator John Durocher, whose salary was increased 14 percent, to $38,000 from $33,360;
public works superintendent Chris Liveris, who received an 8.5 percent increase, raising his salary to $39,510 from $36,390; and building inspector Tim Brophy, whose salary was raised 8 percent, to $36,000 from $33,360.
Village trustees said the increases brought the salaries in line with officials in similar communities.
