I would like to congratulate Susan J. Berkson for her excellent article,

”Violence and the invisible male.” Finally, someone who tells it like it is.

The statistics on male violence are staggering, yet little is done to address the root of the problem. Our society glorifies male violence and encourages female passivity. Until we stop rearing children who are burdened by these stereotypes, nothing will change. The first step in this process is for the media to acknowledge that the ”face” behind the crime statistics is male.
