If, God forbid, the Republican ticket is re-elected in November, I hope the only women who have to make the difficult, solitary decision to end an unwanted pregnancy are fortunate enough to be related to George Bush or Dan Quayle, as it seems their choices would be honored. This is simultaneously the ultimate hypocrisy and ultimate irony of the current political situation in America.

Governmental interference in this private matter of health and welfare must end. As our anti-abortion president so plaintively expressed, the decision is the woman`s: ”Who else`s could it be?”
