Pat Easterlin had 21 and Ray Perine added 20 as Wisconsin-Milwaukee pushed its record to 2-0 Thursday night with 94-76 victory over Northeastern Illinois.

Northeastern (0-2) fell behind 19-6 with 14 minutes left in the first half and trailed by 21 before a 9-0 run before halftime cut the deficit to 48-38. But the Golden Eagles didn`t threaten in the second half.

Reggie smith led Northeastern with 17 points.

”We`re not in sync; we had a hard time running the offense,”

Northeastern coach Rees Johnson said. ”We don`t have the chemistry right now, and Wisconsin-Milwaukee is just the opposite. They`re a senior club, and you can see it.”

Johnson said Easterlin ”hurt us early. We left him open, and he hit his shots. Easterlin had 16 of his points in the first half, when he was six of nine from the field.
