The increased number of dual-career couples and married female transferees over the last decade has resulted in a greater disparity of viewpoints between spouses concerning relocation, according to a study by Loyola University Chicago and Northwestern University researchers. It found that the partners’ willingness to move is the most important factor in determining whether employees will relocate for their careers.
