– Elgin Academy 60, Lake Forest Academy 43-Jaque Istok nailed five three-pointers en route to 26 points and Jim Stach chipped in 13 as Elgin (6-8, 2-4) rolled in the Independent School League.

– Johnsburg 62, Harvard 57-Rob Fehling and Todd Freund scored 14 points apiece for Johnsburg (6-9).

– Hampshire 75, Alden-Hebron 44-Dan Thompson’s 18 points powered Hampshire (6-9).

– Amundsen 75, Kelvyn Park 66-Four players, led by Anthony McGee’s 20 points, reached double figures for Amundsen (8-8, 4-2).

– Lindblom 81, Tilden 50-Six players reached double figures, led by Leotha Patton’s 18 points and 11 rebounds, as Lindblom (8-9, 3-2) offset Robert Smith’s 32 points to earn the Blue-Central victory.

– Lisle 81, Plano 51-Lisle (10-5, 5-1) won the key Interstate Eight matchup behind Jason Biermann (21 points) and Ray Aguirre (15).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

– De Kalb 40, West Aurora 39-Jennifer Berg (15 points) and Mara Megli (10) led De Kalb (5-13, 3-5) to the Upstate Eight victory. Tonya Cline had 18 for the losers.

– Elgin 62, East Aurora 36-April Rodman (16 points) led four players in double figures as Elgin (15-3, 9-1) breezed in the Upstate Eight. Jennifer Kiefer (13 points, seven assists), Melissa Parker (11 points, eight rebounds, seven assists) and Leslie Schock (11 points, eight rebounds) also contributed.

– Cary-Grove 88, Jacobs 31-Megan DePuy scored 19 points and Amy Nelson 17 for Cary-Grove (17-3, 9-0 in the Fox Valley).

– Crystal Lake Central 47, Crystal Lake South 35-Becky Hicklin had 19 points and Michelle Georgi 15 to power Central (17-2, 8-1) over South (7-11, 4-5) in the Fox Valley.

– Lake Zurich 65, McHenry 47-Nicole Vasey had 16 points, 17 rebounds and three blocked shots and Deborah Pope added 13 points and eight assists to pace Lake Zurich (10-7, 4-4 in the Fox Valley). Amanda Scott led McHenry with 18.

– Elgin Academy 50, Lake Forest Academy 48-Kelly Hazlehurst had 16 points and Lucretia Williams 15 as Elgin (8-9, 6-3) overcame a 36-30 third-quarter deficit in the Independent School League victory. Lindsey Biz had 18 for Lake Forest (5-4 in the league).

– Woodstock 57, Dundee-Crown 50-Leslie Groh scored 22 points and Jean Culligan 18 to lift Woodstock to the Fox Valley victory.

– U-High 75, Morgan Park Academy 35-Mikyta Daugherty (21 points) led three players in double figures as University High (7-6, 6-3) coasted in the Independent School League. Kate Kozacik managed 16 for Morgan Park Academy.
