Stocks decline: Shares of forest-product companies, led by Louisiana-Pacific Corp. and Weyerhaeuser Co., fell for the third-consecutive session Friday amid heightened concerns President Clinton will take steps to control wood product prices. The president has called for a one-day summit April 2 in Portland, Ore., to address U.S. timber-harvesting policies. A huge jump in the price of lumber over the last four months has added $4,000 to $5,000 to the cost of building a 2,000-square-foot home, said William O’Neil of Merrill Lynch in New York.
