Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey. Average rating: (STAR)(STAR)(STAR) 1/2 G. A lost cat and two dogs (with the voices of Sally Field, Michael J. Fox and Don Ameche) sniff their way home. “A great adventure movie; the animals are cute.”-Ashley B., 11, Frankfort.

Shadow of the Wolf. PG-13. Average rating: (STAR)(STAR)(STAR) 1/2 A young hunter (Lou Diamond Phillips) is chased through the Canadian wilderness. “It was really good, but it was sort of mushy.”-Leslie S., 12, Chicago.

Swing Kids. PG-13. Average rating: (STAR)(STAR)(STAR) German kids in 1939 (including Robert Sean Leonard and Christian Bale) dance to American swing music and try to rebel against Nazism. “I liked the dancing and the music.”-Liz L., 12, Chicago.

Untamed Heart. PG-13. Average rating: (STAR)(STAR)(STAR) 1/2 A young waitress (Marisa Tomei) falls for a shy dishwasher (Christian Slater). “It was pretty good in the beginning, but after a while it got kind of boring.”-Brendan V., 12, Downers Grove.
