Brandee Palmer got the win in Game 2 for Andrew (11-4).Bremen 2-6, Bloom 1-4-Melissa Boger knocked in the winning run in the opener for Bremen (11-6) and teammate Janet Abramic went 4 for 4 with one RBI and two runs scored in Game 2.Elk Grove 8-10, Regina 5-3-Andra Allison struck out five, and Jaime Bartoli drove in two runs in Game 1. Kelly Reiter picked up the win in the nightcap for Elk Grove (12-2).Hinsdale South 1-7, St. Charles 0-0-Cami Persson opened by throwing a no-hitter and striking out 13 in Game 1, and Melissa Owen then struck out eight as Persson added three RBIs for Hinsdale South (13-3).

Illiana Christian 18-11, Wheaton Christian 0-1-Nicole Terpstra pitched a perfect game and had two RBIs, and Jen Paglia had a three-run homer in Game 1. Terpstra knocked in two runs in the second game as Tricia Koster threw a two-hitter. Joliet Catholic 3-4, Lyons 1-3-Mary Borgra gave up four hits and Jenni Nahorski had two hits in the opener. Nahorski picked up the win in Game 2, with Jeanette Burdzinski and Colleen Hooks getting two hits apiece in the eight-inning contest.

Joliet West 3-1, Sandburg 1-11-Kelly Oswald of Joliet West went the distance, striking out seven in Game 1. For No. 9 Sandburg (17-5), Jaime Martino struck out eight, allowing two hits in five innings in Game 2.Lake Zurich 21, Jacobs 1-Lisa Konko, who has not allowed an earned run in her last four games, held Jacobs to three hits and struck out three while Amanda Leineberg knocked in five runs for Lake Zurich (11-0, 10-0) in the Fox Valley.

Lemont 13-17, Ridgewood 1-7-Becky Cortesi won both games for Lemont (14-2, 8-1 in the Southwest Suburban). Jocelyn Bylica had five RBIs on the day for Lemont.Maria 18, Lourdes 0-Jaime Smith pitched all five innings, striking out eight, allowing two hits, and walking none. Karen DiGrazia went 2 for 3, with four RBIs, including a two-run homer and two runs scored for Maria (11-4).

Morris 11-13, Kaneland 1-0-Amy Nelson went the six-inning distance, striking out six, allowing four hits in Game 1, and Joy Battersby struck out 12 in the five-inning second game, allowing two hits. Erin Hickey had five hits for the day, with five stolen bases and two RBIs. Nelson had two hits with three RBIs, and Battersby added two hits and two RBIs. Morris is 19-1, 10-0 in the Little Seven.

Morton 4-6, Thornwood 2-5-No. 4 Morton (19-2) swept as Michelle Kobela got both wins. In Game 1, Kobela (14-1) threw a five-hitter with two strikeouts while going the distance. In Game 2, she threw four innings and allowed only one hit. Nicole Gamez went 2 for 2 with an RBI in Game 1 for Morton, and teammate Jill Kocka was 2 for 2 with three RBIs in Game 2.Minooka 6-21, Batavia 1-7-Michelle Ukovich struck out 11 in Game 1 and Stephanie Castagnoli got the win in the nightcap as Adrienne Zeller had seven RBIs. Minooka is 8-6, 5-2 in the Little Seven. Niles West 14, Niles North 12-Tracy Sloan struck out seven and had three RBIs, and Lynn Mierkiewicz had a homer in the sixth inning to turn the game around for Niles West (3-4, 2-2).

Resurrection 9-12, York 1-2-Jackie Geraci allowed two hits and struck out two in five innings in Game 1, and Michelle Schmalz got the Game 2 win with four innings pitched, allowing three hits. Lynn Curylo was 6 for 8 for the day, with seven RBIs, five runs scored, and six stolen bases. Jenny Mette went 3 for 4 with three runs and five steals for Resurrection (11-5, 9-3 in the GCAC.)

Riverside-Brookfield 4-19, Elmwood Park 2-0-Annette Rebellato pitched the distance, striking out eight, allowing one hit in Game 1, and also got the win in Game 2. She drove in six runs in the nightcap. Dannette Massarello struck out two in relief in the second game.Rosary 14-6, Wheaton North 10-0-Andrienne LeFevre struck out eight in Game 1 as Laura Feltes batted in four. Feltes got the win in Game 2 with LeFevre adding two RBIs for Rosary (13-2).

St. Ignatius 5, Mt. Assisi 2-Bridget Jordan allowed five hits and struck out three, and Jenny Schuler and Jordan each drove in two runs as St. Ignatius improved to 8-5 in a GCAC crossover.

T.F. South 13-20, Thornridge 3-5-Lisa Olson has two RBIs in Game 1, and Misty Wilson and Jill DeBold each had three RBIs in the second game for T.F. South (13-5-1). Waubonsie Valley 7-7, Lake Park 6-2-Courtney Call saved Trisha French’s victory in the first game and Call got the win in Game 2 in Waubonsie’s (5-10, 5-8) sixth straight victory.Westmont 2-7, Evergreen Park 1-1-Janice Dennis pitched the distance in both games for Westmont (5-8, 3-6 in the Southwest Suburban), striking out three and walking four for the day. In Game 1, Melissa Feris drove in two runs with a single in the bottom of the sixth to give Westmont the lead. In the second game, Jenny Duhai went 3 for 4 with two singles, one double and two RBIs. Wheeling 21, Woodlands 4-Erin Wallace and Dina Lundstrom each knocked in three, and Beth Sliwinski and Karen Roselein batted in two apiece in the Wheeling (4-9) victory.Zion-Benton 15-9, Antioch 3-8-Shannon Mays was 3 for 3 in the opene, knocking in three, and 3 for 4 in Game 2, with a two-run single in the seventh to tie the game. Zion-Benton is 9-5, 6-2 in the North Suburban.

Lisle 5-4, Reed-Custer 4-5-Kristin Dipert of Lisle (16-2, 7-1 in the Interstate Eight) got the win in Game 1. Amy Dearing of Reed-Custer (14-7, 7-1) struck out 15, and Kristi Jasper got the winning hit in the top of the 13th for the split.

Deerfield Invitational-Prospect (13-1) won two games, beating Maine South 1-0 and Deerfield 12-4. Kathleen Sassan threw a five-hitter to beat Maine, and Erin Drehobl and Kelley O’Gara both had two hits to spark the victory over Deerfield.
