Chuck Carr of the Marlins hit a grand slam for his first major league home run. Carr connected in the second inning off Chris Nabholz (2-3) for his first homer in 176 at-bats. Greg Briley hit a two-run homer in the ninth and Rich Renteria went 4 for 5 and scored twice for the Marlins.
