Motion denied: A federal judge denied a request by American Airlines to throw out a price-fixing suit filed by Continental Airlines and Northwest Airlines. U.S. District Judge Samuel B. Kent found that Continental and Northwest provided sufficient evidence to let a Galveston, Texas, jury decide whether American, the nation’s largest airline, tried to monopolize the industry through a fare war last year.
