A Maple Park woman was charged Sunday with kicking a woman, police said. Maria Cowen, 32, of 49 W 950 Illinois Highway 64 was charged with battery after she reportedly kicked a 36-year-old woman who had ask her to turn down her stereo. Cowen was arrested and taken to Kane County Jail. She was being held there pending a bail bond hearing, according to authorities.
