The Unit District 220 School Board has approved the appointment of James Voris, a former principal of Hinsdale Middle School, as principal of Barrington Middle School Station Campus, effective next month.

In Hinsdale, where Voris has served as a principal for 10 years, he directed the conversion of the 7th- and 8th-grade junior high into a middle school for 6th through 8th graders.

Previously, Voris taught science in Arlington Heights Elementary District 25, eventually becoming coordinator of that district’s gifted education program.
