A woman told police Wednesday a man approached her from behind, pushed her and tore a shopping bag from her hand where she was standing outside Marshall Field’s department store at the Oak Brook Center Mall. Both men fled after the bag was stolen, said police, who were unable to locate the offenders described. The shopping bag contained about $800 in clothing and merchandise.
