A Carpentersville man was arrested Tuesday morning after he allegedly beat his girlfriend and then dragged her down the stairs of their home in the 400 block of Singapore Lane, police said. Joseph L. Tidwell, 32, was charged with domestic battery and then was turned over to Lake County officials who wanted him on an outstanding warrant, police said. The victim, who suffered cuts on her face and forehead, refused medical treatment, police said.
