These three films open in theaters Friday but were not available for preview in Take 2:
– “Boxing Helena,” the controversial film about obsessive love from first-time director Jennifer Lynch. Julian Sands and Sherilyn Fenn star. Watch for a review on Sunday’s Overnight page.
– “Calendar Girl,” in which three 18-year-olds in love with Marilyn Monroe set out to meet her in 1962. Jason Priestley of “Beverly Hills 90210” stars. To be reviewed in Tempo next week.
– “Fortress,” a futuristic action film about a man (Christopher Lambert) who is imprisoned when his wife has a second child, one more than the state allows. To be reviewed in Tempo next week.
