William Joseph Higgins, 67, a retired Chicago police officer, died Sunday in Hospice House in Naples, Fla. Mr. Higgins, formerly of Chicago’s South Side and later of Melrose Park, was a Navy veteran of World War II. He is survived by two sons, John and Michael; five daughters, Patricia Creighton, Mary Tremblay, Sandra Landers, Eileen Taylor and Donna Ryerson; 16 grandchildren; and two sisters. Services will be held Friday in Naples, Fla.
