Barbara Scott Welles, 88, a 66-year resident of Lake Forest, died Tuesday in her home. Mrs. Welles was a granddaughter of John E. Scott, a partner in Carson Pirie Scott & Co. She served on the Women’s Auxiliary Board and was a volunteer at Lake Forest Hospital. Survivors include three sons, Donald Jr., J. Robert and James; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday in the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit, 400 E. Westminster Rd., Lake Forest.
