– Strengths: In a word, Shaq. The 1992-93 Rookie of the Year was simply awesome last season (23.4 ppg, 13.9 rpg). The addition of Hardaway gives the Magic another potential superstar. Nick Anderson quietly averaged 19.9 points and is being counted on to emerge as a true star this year.
– Weaknesses: Jeff Turner and Larry Krystkowiak won’t provide too many rebounds or much defense from the power forward spot. O’Neal needs to drastically improve his foul-shooting touch (59 percent from the line last season).
– Outlook: This team is a lock to reach the playoffs, but lacks the experience to get to the conference finals.
