I drove east on the “not quite Elgin-not quite O’Hare” Expressway on a recent morning from Roselle Road to its end at Thorndale and Rohlwing Roads. The engineer who decided to end this expressway at a traffic signal needs to take an expressway design class over again. Any ordinary driver would realize that huge backups would be the result of this stoplight. And, of course, this is exactly what happens.
I, for one, will benefit from this new expressway by not using it.
