Back to the table: American Airlines and its flight attendants union have agreed to resume contract negotations, but the two sides have not settled on a date, union and airline officials said. The Association of Professional Flight Attendants, which represents 21,000 American flight attendants, has said it will go on strike Nov. 18 if a new contract agreement has not been reached with the carrier.
