Robert J. Boyce, 41, of Chicago, an in-flight supervisor for United Airlines, died Thursday at his Edgewater home. Mr. Boyce, who attended Christian Brothers College in Memphis and the University of Chicago, started with United in 1979 and was a major contributor to the developmental training of the company’s Chicago-based flight attendants. He recently received the Department of Defense Civil Desert Shield-Desert Storm Medal for his participation with the U.S. Air Force in the civil air operations during the Persian Gulf conflict. Survivors include six sisters and three brothers.
