The undefeated Baltimore Spirit scored 12 unanswered points in the second and third quarters and routed the Power 24-8 Saturday.

Goran Hunjak scored four times and Paul Wright three for Baltimore (7-0), the NPSL’s defending American Division champion.

Pato Margetic, Victor Fernandez, Michael Richardson and rookie Jeff Alcala each scored once for the Power (3-4).

Margetic opened the scoring to give the Power a brief 2-0 lead, but the Spirit kicked in the next six points. Alcala answered with his first Power goal and Fernandez followed with a two-pointer for a 6-6 tie midway through the second quarter.

But Wright tallied a pair of one-point shootouts, and Rusty Troy and Tarik Walker added goals for an 11-6 Spirit lead at the half.

Hunjak added a pair of goals and Troy scored his second of the game to open a 17-6 Baltimore lead early in the third quarter, and the contest was never in doubt after that.
