Starting Dec. 20, the Illinois Lottery will go to twice-a-day drawings six days a week for two of its games, Pick Three and Pick Four.

A 12:40 p.m. drawing will be added Mondays through Saturdays to the regular nightly drawing for the fixed-payout games, the lottery said. Ticket buyers will have to specify to agents whether they want a ticket for the midday or the night drawing. Ticket prices will continue to start at 50 cents.

Lottery officials said they hope the new midday drawing will increase revenues for Pick Three and Pick Four by 2 percent to 5 percent.
