I think I’ve found the solution for David Rocks regarding his article (Dec. 21 ) dealing with the crisis in Czech kitchens stemming from a lack of eggs.
“Some blame the crisis on egg-snatchers, others point the finger at dairy farmers and some even fault the hens. The current shortage can be traced to when low demands forced many large dairy farms to kill off and sell as many as half of their hens.”
The solution for Rocks and the Czechs is to look for eggs on poultry, not dairy, farms. Dairies are the source of milk and cream, not eggs.
