Top 10: The National Association for Female Executives has issued its top 10 list of ways to promote gender equality. Women should contribute to and vote for female political candidates, start their own businesses and fight for pension transferability and national child-care legislation, says the group, which is based in New York. The idea behind the list was “not just to have lofty philosophical ways of bringing women into equality, but solid things they could do,” says Leslie Smith, associate director of the association. “All of us have things in our daily lives (that can be done) to help promote another woman in business,” Smith says.
