A woman was accosted at knifepoint last week, forced to drive her assailant for two miles, then robbed of $950, police said. The victim told police she was returning to her car in the Poplar Creek Plaza, 1841 W. Golf Rd., when she saw the man standing next to her car. The man asked for a ride, and when the victim refused, the man brandished a knife, forced her into her car and forced her to drive him to the Weathersfield Commons Plaza at Schaumburg and Springinsguth Roads, where he took her money, police said.
