A circus train derailed Thursday in Central Florida’s heartland, killing at least one person and injuring a dozen others, authorities said. Sonya Dodds, a spokeswoman for the Polk County Sheriff’s Department, said 19 cars of the 59-car Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey train derailed about 9:15 a.m. “There were 200 people on board, one person killed, one missing and 12 to 15 with minor injuries,” she said. The train was traveling across the state’s midsection to an engagement in Orlando, 60 miles to the east.
