A man claiming to be the valet of rap entertainer Hammer was shot in the leg after a Bulls game Monday in a parking lot scuffle with security guards at Chicago Stadium, police said.

The man, identified as Orlando Davis, 28, of Oakland, had to be ushered out of the stadium after the game when he refused to leave, Harrison Area Sgt. Ron Bellavia said.

In the parking lot, Davis allegedly told a security guard “something to the effect of `I ought to blow you away,’ ” Wood District Sgt. Daniel Sanchez said.

A scuffle ensued, and when Davis pulled a 9 mm handgun out of his waistband, a security guard shot him in the right thigh, police said.

Davis was listed in fair condition in Cook County Hospital Monday night.

Though Hammer was at the game, according to publicist Terrie Williams, neither she nor police could confirm whether Davis was part of his entourage.

Davis was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, unlawful use of a weapon, possessing a firearm without a firearms ownership card, and not complying with city firearms registration, Bellavia said.
