A homeless man was charged with battery Monday after allegedly slashing another homeless man in an apartment on the east side. Willie Lee Wimberly, 41, was released from the city lockup pending a Feb. 23 court appearance. Ralph Baker, 50, was treated for cuts to his abdomen and right arm, as well as a contusion to his right eye, at Copley Memorial Hospital and released. Janice Kay Kuntz, 33, 502 S. 4th St., was charged with obstructing a police officer in the incident, which occurred in her apartment, after she repeatedly told a witness not to talk to police.
