Ellen “Eileen” McAllister, 81, of Oak Park, died Monday in Edward Hospital in Naperville. Widowed at age 44, she enrolled in Cook County School of Nursing and graduated as a licensed practical nurse. She worked at St. Anne’s and Northwest Hospitals. She is survived by a son, Robert; a daughter, Mary Alice Possley; a sister; and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday in Ahern Funeral Home, 1110 Madison St., Oak Park. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday in Ascension Catholic Church, 815 S. East Ave., Oak Park.
