As a 31-year employee in the beverage alcohol industry, I found Eric Zorn’s article, “The time is right for Prohibition II,” (Jan. 11) ridiculous. His statements that we should be legislated out of business are simply too absurd.
We are the only industry in existence today because of a constitutional amendment. His article was an insult to all of the individuals who constitute my industry-individuals who are law-abiding, taxpaying citizens of the United States. Americans should begin to take responsibility for their own actions instead of allowing “Big Brother” to legislate our actions for us.
