– Shelby Williams Industries Inc.’s fourth-quarter profit rose 14 percent, to $1.46 million, or 16 cents a share, from $1.28 million, or 14 cents a share, a year earlier. The Chicago-based manufacturer of contract seating said sales grew to $41.3 million from $36.5 million. For the full year, Shelby Williams’ profit rose to $4.15 million, or 46 cents a share, from $3.59 million, or 39 cents a share, in 1992. Sales increased to $154 million from $140 million.
