Members of the Park Ridge City Council have been given a sneak preview of four current options under consideration by the Library Board to deal with space limitations at the Park Ridge Library.
According to Ald. Richard Whalen, council liaison to the library, the option receiving the most serious consideration is a scaled-down version of an original $6.8 million proposal defeated by voters in a 1992 referendum.
“Their space needs are still present,” he said, adding that the Library Board is looking for a plan “that meets those space needs with a more modest price tag.”
Whalen expected the library trustees to decide on a plan next month.
