A 15-year-old girl and her 19-year-old live-in boyfriend were charged Thursday with child endangerment after their 5-month-old boy was taken to the hospital with a fractured skull, police said.
The girl, who could not be identified by police, and Timothy Sykes, both of 6037 S. King Drive, brought the baby to Wyler Children’s Hospital Wednesday evening. The baby, George Walker, was “minimally responsive” and having seizures, hospital spokesman John Easton said.
Doctors discovered a skull fracture and bleeding in the brain, Easton said.
On Thursday, the baby was still having seizures and was under medication but had improved since Wednesday night, Easton said. The baby was listed in serious condition.
