A 27-year-old man was stabbed to death Saturday, allegedly by his girlfriend’s landlord in a dispute over a ceiling fan.
Floyd Boss, of 4315 S. Prairie Ave., was helping his girlfriend move out of an apartment at 4310 S. Prairie Ave. when the quarrel began, according to Wentworth Area Sgt. Marshall Andrews.
Boss was stabbed once in the lower abdomen with a “bayonet-type” knife, Andrews said. He was taken to Provident Hospital where he died early Sunday.
The landlord, Akbar Beyah, 45, of 4403 S. Prairie Ave., was charged with first-degree murder late Sunday night, Wentworth Detective Leo Wilkosz said.
