Police on Friday continued to search for a third weapon linked to a group of Wheeling High School students who were suspended this week when one of the guns was found in a locker. Six boys and two girls were arrested after .357- and .38-caliber revolvers and ammunition were found at separate locations, one inside the school and another off-campus, authorities said. The students belong to rival gangs, said Deputy Police Chief Michael Hermes.

A third weapon was being sought because a student reported to police that he saw another weapon in the hands of a student during a gang-related skirmish on a school bus the week before in which the same group of teens was arrested.
